Following a comprehensive assessment of USA Weightlifting’s culture, Vestry Laight issued a report November 18, 2021, outlining recommendations in key areas to help ensure the safety of its athletes and continue to build a culture that is welcoming to everyone. In addition to focusing on USA Weightlifting’s culture from a DEI perspective, the evaluation also examined USAW's handling of a high-profile U.S. Center for SafeSport case from 2017.
